   As a verb, parchar: to hang about somewhere with no particular purpose. 'Estamos parchados en el parque.'

Where it comes from

From parche, 'patch'. The sense of a fixed group attached to a fixed spot came out of Bogotá and Medellín youth speech in the 1980s and 1990s and has since lost all association with street life; corporate teams organise parches now.
