   Annoying; grating; won't leave you alone. Of a person, a noise, a notification or a rule.

  Drop it, you're getting on my nerves.

  Note: Blunt. Said to someone's face it is a genuine insult, not banter.

Where it comes from

A clipping of うざったい, from a Tokyo regional word for something swarming or fussily persistent. It spread nationally through 1980s youth speech.
